Mathematical modeling of Gas Volumetric Flow Rate

Abstract: Over the year, numerous correlation have been developed for calculating steady state gas volumetric flow rate in horizontal flow line and wellbore. Most of the authors based their design on the existing general equation; Weymouth Equations, Panhandle A & B Equation. This paper presents unsteady-state correlation for flow of natural gas in pipelines and horizontal wellbore, using the general momentum equation. The resulting differential equation was then solved analytically to produce a simple analytical model that can be generally utilized for volumetric flow rate of gas flow in horizontal wells
